Vitr builds CellCount: cell counts and trypan blue viability from the microscope a lab already owns, one counting protocol shared by everyone who counts, and every count kept with its image and the name of the person who accepted it.
What we make
Automated cell counting and viability for the lab that would rather not buy another benchtop instrument. A camera on the microscope port, a phone at the eyepiece, or the images you already have, including the frames your automated counter exports.
How we work
No benchtop unit, no cassettes, nothing to reorder. The microscope on the bench and a chamber the lab has used for decades are the hardware. Everything else is software, and it runs in a browser.
Every cell the model finds is marked on the lab’s own image. A missed cell can be added, a wrong one deleted, a live call flipped to dead. The number that leaves the bench is one a person put their name to.
Each sample is dated, accepted by a named person and sealed with a hash, and it leaves as a results document or an export bundle of the images with their overlays. A count can be checked months later by someone who was not there.
Who we are
Vitr is the brand of Lowkey Vision AS, founded in Oslo. Oslo covers Europe; Seattle covers North America. Most labs start with a call and a demo on their own samples, with whoever is closest.

CellCount is now CellCount by Vitr. The product, the team and the legal entity, Lowkey Vision AS, are unchanged; the company has a name of its own, and this site is its home. A Vitr mark is on its way from a designer and will replace the wordmark here when it lands.
The CellCount site moved from lowkey-vision.com to cellcount.ai, and the old address redirects. Every public page there is now readable without JavaScript, the validation page carries its sources, and a FAQ answers the questions labs ask before they try it.
The contact page on cellcount.ai now shows the founders by office, Oslo and Seattle, and a call is booked in four questions. Most labs start with a call and a demo on their own samples; from there we set up the capture path, a shared counting protocol and an export routine, on site or remote.
